Bill & Melinda Gates Agricultural Innovations Achieves Certificate of Successful Audit Completion Under the Excellence Through Stewardship Global Audit Process
ST. LOUIS (December 14, 2023) — Bill & Melinda Gates Agricultural Innovations (Gates Ag One) has successfully completed its inaugural audit under the Excellence Through Stewardship (ETS) Global Audit Process, administered by the Global Stewardship Group.
The ETS Global Audit Process ensures that members have stewardship programs and quality management systems for the full life cycle of agricultural biotechnology products that are consistent with the Excellence Through Stewardship initiative.
Gates Ag One, a non-profit affiliate of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was set up to help accelerate the development of improved crops that can close the yield gap. It is committed to stewarding agricultural innovations to ensure they are available and accessible to serve the priorities of smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
The Global Stewardship Group is a global non-profit organization that offers programs to companies and organizations with a variety of needs when it comes to plant biotechnology stewardship.
